Wood-look steel cladding
The warmth of grain. The precision of formed steel.
Bring the warmth of a wood-inspired finish to TerraGroove and TerraLap steel siding, with physical samples and panels made to project lengths.

Appearance and substrate
Wood-grain is the finish. Steel is the panel.
The current wood-grain coil uses a wood-inspired prepainted surface over Galvalume steel. It should be specified as metal siding with a wood-grain finish, not as natural wood or an imitation wood board.

Two linear profiles to compare
The same finish reads differently on every profile.
Forming changes highlights, shadow lines, and the visible scale of the grain. Compare the finish on the actual profile rather than on a flat colour chip alone.

Fine V-groove rhythm
TerraGroove 300
100 mm or 120 mm visible faces with a defined V-shaped reveal. Confirmed for horizontal or vertical application.
Review profile dimensions
Broader low-rib rhythm
TerraLap 200
A 283.52 mm overall formed width with broad faces and shallow repeated ribs for a calmer wall field.
Review profile dimensionsPhysical sample approval
A screen cannot approve grain, sheen, or formed geometry.
Review the wood-grain finish in the expected orientation and lighting. Put the sample beside glazing, masonry, concrete, soffit, and adjacent colours before the order is released.
Request current samplesView at distance
Review both close grain detail and the overall facade reading.
Check the formed profile
Highlights and shadows change across faces, ribs, and reveals.
Confirm orientation
Approve the direction of the panel and the visible wood-grain pattern.
Confirm current availability
Tie the selected sample to the material identified in the quotation.
Wood-look panel order
Approve the visual sample, then approve the production schedule.
The finish decision and the manufacturing decision are separate. The final request needs both the approved physical reference and installer-confirmed dimensions.
Select the profile
Choose TerraGroove or TerraLap against the actual elevation.
Approve wood-grain physically
Confirm the sample, orientation, and adjacent materials.
Provide the cut list
Send every finished panel length, quantity, and trim section.
Confirm the quotation
Terrashield confirms material availability, timing, and pickup or freight terms.
Wood-look metal siding questions
Wood-look metal siding questions.
Material, compatible profiles, physical samples, orientation, matching trim, and ordering.
Is Terrashield wood-look siding made from real wood?
No. The wood-grain option is a prepainted finish on Galvalume steel. It provides a wood-inspired appearance while retaining the geometry of a formed metal siding profile.
Which current profiles can be requested in wood-grain?
TerraGroove 300 and TerraLap 200 are the current linear siding profiles to review for a wood-look application. Actual profile and wood-grain coil availability are confirmed with the quotation.
Can I approve the wood-grain finish from website photographs?
No. Screens, lighting, image processing, and viewing distance change the appearance. A physical sample should be used to review colour, grain scale, sheen, and the formed profile before final approval.
Does the wood-grain finish include a published warranty?
Any coating or warranty information applicable to an order is provided with the written quotation or supporting material documents. Ask for those documents before final approval when they are required for the project.
Can wood-look panels be installed horizontally or vertically?
TerraGroove 300 has confirmed horizontal or vertical application. Final orientation, subframing, fastening, waterproofing, and transitions remain project-design and installation decisions.
Can matching wood-grain trims be supplied?
Supported trim sections can be reviewed from approved dimensions, subject to suitable current material and the fabrication scope. Match expectations should be checked with physical material because grain direction and formed geometry affect appearance.

Connect the wood-grain finish to the right profile and project brief.
Need a wood-grain sample?
Request the physical finish, identify the profile, and bring the elevation into the decision.
When the appearance is approved, send the finished lengths, quantities, trim sections, project city, and required date for quotation.
