Corrugated vs. trapezoidal
Similar shorthand. Different panel geometry.
Corrugated is often used as a broad description for ribbed sheet-metal panels. In a production order, that word is not precise enough. Traditional corrugation uses a repeated round wave. TerraCrest uses straight-sided trapezoidal ribs.
The profile drawing, coverage width, rib depth, overlap, and sample should control the decision.
Round corrugation
A continuous sinusoidal or wave-shaped profile. This is not the geometry of the current TerraCrest lineup.
Trapezoidal ribs
Defined major and minor ribs with approximately 914 or 915 mm coverage, depending on the selected TerraCrest profile.

Wall or roof scope
The same profile does not create the same assembly.
A roofing application and a siding application place different demands on slope, laps, drainage, transitions, fasteners, closures, and supporting construction. Terrashield manufactures the profile. The project team defines and approves the assembly.

Does Terrashield manufacture traditional round corrugated metal siding?
Terrashield's current TerraCrest panels use defined trapezoidal ribs rather than a continuous round or sinusoidal corrugation. The terms are often used interchangeably in early inquiries, but the profile geometry should be confirmed from the drawing and sample.
What are the current TerraCrest profile options?
TerraCrest 100 provides approximately 914 mm coverage with a 19.05 mm profile depth. TerraCrest 200 provides approximately 915 mm coverage with a 31.75 mm major rib depth.
Can TerraCrest panels be quoted for both walls and roofs?
They can be reviewed for quoted roofing or siding scopes. Suitability for the actual slope, span, loads, supports, laps, closures, fastening, drainage, and code requirements must be determined by the qualified project team.
What material is currently used for TerraCrest?
Terrashield's current identified coil stock is 26-gauge prepainted Galvalume steel with 0.48 mm base-metal thickness and 0.52 mm total-coated thickness. TerraCrest 100 and TerraCrest 200 both list 22, 24, and 26 gauge. Profile, gauge, finish, quantity, material documentation, and lead time are confirmed in the quotation.
Can I order TerraCrest from total square footage only?
Square footage is useful for an early budget, but production needs finished panel lengths and quantities by roof or wall area. The request should also identify profile, finish, trims, project location, and required date.
Does Terrashield provide engineering or installation?
No. Terrashield manufactures the panels and supported trims. Engineering, assembly design, substrate, membranes, insulation, fasteners, closures, sealants, installation, and code compliance remain with the qualified project team.
